Châteauguay, June 18, 2025 – The Mayor of Châteauguay, Éric Allard, is proud to announce the reappointment of two key members of his team: current elected officials Arlene Bryant and Luc Daoust. Both are running for a second term marked by concrete projects and a renewed commitment to the cultural vibrancy of life in Châteauguay.

The two councillors were instrumental in decisions that brought back Quebec’s National Holiday to Châteauguay after a long absence, improved Canada Day celebrations, supported Jeudis en Musique (Music Thursdays), and launched the brand-new Rivéo Festival.

Luc Daoust, a Châteauguay resident for over 40 years, has always been highly involved and appreciated within the community, particularly in sports and recreation. His background in customer service makes him a very approachable representative for his district. Elected in 2021, he played a central role in enhancing the National Holiday celebrations. He is also a proud supporter of Châteauguay’s flagship event, the Rivéo Festival, which highlights family participation and cultural diversity. This is undeniably the cultural and festive event of summer 2025—and beyond!

Arlene Bryant, a Châteauguay resident for over 14 years, is a dedicated mother and financial management specialist. Elected in 2021, she has committed herself to the development of accessible services and the improvement of parks. She has also been actively involved in supporting Jeudis en Musique, the Jerk and Bisso Na Bisso festivals, and enhancing Canada Day festivities.

“Arlene and Luc are two hands-on and community-connected leaders,” said Mayor Éric Allard. “Having them with us for a second term allows us to stay focused on concrete and inclusive projects that directly reflect citizens’ concerns. Thanks to their work, we’ve revitalized numerous green spaces, transforming them into true community hubs, while also elevating the scale of our major public events.”

The mayor also emphasized how these elected officials have helped make Châteauguay a lively and welcoming city: “The prominence given to community celebrations such as the National Holiday, Canada Day, and the Rivéo Festival reflects a strong desire to bring people together and highlight our shared identity.”

“Together, we remain committed to building a strong, inclusive city that listens to its people,” concluded Mayor Allard.
