Châteauguay, May 6, 2025 – The Mayor of Châteauguay, Éric Allard, is proud to announce the addition of two new candidates who will be joining his team for the upcoming municipal elections in November 2025: Nathalie Marchand and Sylvie Castonguay.
Nathalie Marchand is a committed entrepreneur and has been a resident of Châteauguay since 2014. This marks her first involvement in municipal politics. She brings to the Alliance Châteauguay team her dynamism, innovative spirit, and knowledge of the education sector. Nathalie shares Éric Allard’s vision for modernizing the city by promoting local purchasing, supporting small businesses, and improving infrastructure for youth and families.
Sylvie Castonguay is a Châteauguay native, both by birth and at heart. She has extensive experience in management, marketing, and human resources. Known within Châteauguay’s political circles for her involvement in the City’s advisory committees on urban planning and the environment, she ran for city council in 2021. Sylvie is running again with a focus on revitalizing commercial areas, protecting green spaces, and fostering more open, transparent, and participatory municipal governance.
Éric Allard expressed his great satisfaction at welcoming them to his team. “I am very pleased to welcome Nathalie Marchand and Sylvie Castonguay to Alliance Châteauguay. Their commitment, experience, and desire to make a difference in the community are great assets to our team and to the city. These two candidates are a true addition of talent that aligns perfectly with the vision we have for the future of Châteauguay.”
These two new candidates join François Le Borgne, whose candidacy with Mayor Éric Allard’s Alliance Châteauguay team was previously announced. “Additional candidates will be confirmed in the coming weeks. We remain committed to building a competent, dedicated, and representative team that meets the aspirations of Châteauguay’s citizens,” concluded Éric Allard.
